Chiropractors Can Recognize and Treat Ailments That are Very Often not Attributed to Subtle Spinal Injuries

CiCi Moran asked:

The reason for this is that most medical doctors are unable to diagnose and treat the real cause of low back pain. Their treatment is likely to be ineffective and will likely result in your never getting better.

Taking drugs just masks the pain; it will never cure your low back pain, and furthermore, even drugs such as aspirin, if taken over a long period of time, can cause damage to your liver, kidneys, and stomach lining. And, masking the pain just prevents you from curing the underlying source of the pain, which allows the problem to become progressively worse over time.

Before you accept your doctor’s recommendation to have back surgery, check the alternative. A group of university scientists performed a double blind study in which one group received the traditional treatment with drugs, while another group was treated by a different method–one without drugs or surgery. While both groups reported they felt better, there was a big difference in the outcome for one of the groups.

After the treatments were discontinued, the pain returned to the first group after about one month, while the second group–the group which received Atlanta chiropractic care, reported that they were pain free.

Researchers reporting in the British Medical Journal compared the cost-effectiveness of treatment of neck pain by chiropractic care, traditional physical therapy, and medical care for 183 people. The results of the study were that the folks treated with chiropractic got better faster and at a lower cost than more traditional treatments!

You owe it to yourself to try the treatment that has been shown to be more effective. If you suffer from incapacitating headaches, just a few minutes with the doctor may change your life.

Your headaches are not necessarily caused by chemical imbalance or stress. It could be that you have an easily correctable condition in which your neck muscles and joints are actually irritating the delicate nerves which control muscle tension and blood flow, resulting in a headache that medication will never cure!

It may turn out that all you need is a simple headache evaluation to determine if you are needlessly suffering, and that the beginning of the end of your suffering may be only days away, through Atlanta chiropractic treatment.

Why Tradesmen Visit Chiropractors?

Dr David Black asked:

Our two chiropractic clinics have always opened at 7 o’clock in the morning. It is not that I suffer from insomnia but there has always been a steady demand for chiropractic treatment at that time of the morning. The vast majority of patients at that time seem to be tradespeople who have to be on site ready to commence work.

The common knowledge amongst these people is that no matter which trade they are involved, be it plumbing, electrical, automotive or carpentry, their bodies need chiropractic care from time to time. It is gratifying to hear such new patients say that they decided to to go to a chiropractor as they had heard good reports from other tradespeople.

It is interesting to note that the word chiropractic originally comes from two Greek words chiro ( a hand ) and praxix ( to do). We understand that chiropractic is mainly a method of treating the human body and by hand. Perhaps tradespeople who traditionally have worked with their hands have come to feel a link with the chiropractor who, by definition, treats them by hand.

Sometimes when I am asked what type of work I do, I reply that I work with my hands. The whole gamut of musculoskeletal problems that affect tradespeople reflects the different types of work that they do. When I first meet a new patient I enquire as to what type of work they do.

This is not just so I can write in a neat little box that they are a butcher or baker but so I can actually understand the strain and pressure that their particular occupation brings to them. A plumber who sits in a roof space installing hot water services will

have an entirely different set of problems to an office worker who sits at a desk.

Problems experienced by these patients can range from low pain with radiations to their lower limbs to headaches, neck pain and arm pain. Each patient is examined carefully and a full case history is taken. This includes any medical history and in particular details of any previous trauma such as a fall from a ladder or involvement with machinery at work.

If needed X-rays will be ordered and orthopedic and neurological tests are carried out. A course of chiropractic treatment is then recommended. It is a credit to the efficacy of chiropractic treatment that tradespeople return to their chiropractors as soon as they feel that their bodies are not functioning at the fullest potential so that they can receive treatment and return speedily to work.
